Membership Committees
Activities...
This committee is charged with the responsibility to arrange
social and recreational functions where members can meet, relax
and become better acquainted; this includes the Annual Meeting/Craftsmanship
Awards Banquet, Golf Outings, Bowling Leagues and such other
events as may be delegated by the Board of Directors.
Building/Building Equipment
This committee is charged with the responsibility of reviewing
the maintenance and improvement and location of CIC building,
grounds and physical facilities. Also, working with the Executive
on equipment needed to enhance the services of the CIC to its
staff and membership.
Craftsmanship
This committee is charged with the responsibility of conduction
educational programs and seminars to better inform our membership
and general public, on topics that will benefit in day-to-day
business dealings. To publish articles in the Weekly Bulletin
promoting safe working conditions within the industry and to
keep membership informed of any new regulations pertaining to
OSHA, and other government programs that would affect the safety
of our member' employees.
Insurance
This committee is charged with the responsibility of reviewing
and assisting in the the planning and overseeing of our Insurance
Program Groups.
Legislative
This committee is charged with the responsibility to study
and make recommendations regarding suggested amendments to Municipal,
County and State Building Codes and to review Legislation of
importance to the construction industry at the local, state
and national level. When the need arises we will inform the
membership in the weekly bulletin of any pending legislation
that would affect the industry.
Membership
This committee is charged with the responsibility to take
measures to maintain and increase the CIC membership, to compile
a list of eligible prospects, to direct a year-round campaign
and, if possible, reinstate members who have resigned, or to
find the reason for resignation.
