BPI Multifamily Building Analyst Training

LEED GA and AP Accreditation Program
Join today’s hottest industry and become a LEED accredited professional. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED is the most distinguished and widely accepted environmental design and green building certification. This combination program prepares the participant to earn both LEED GA and AP accreditations. Participant must have their LEED GA accreditation and experience working on a LEED registered project before they can take LEED AP exam. The first three classroom sessions are preparation for the LEED GA exam, the five weekly online sessions cover the project portion of the LEED AP, and the last two classroom sessions are preparation for the LEED AP exam. Earn 24 American Institute of Architects credits. LEED exam fees are included in the registration fee.

ACI Concrete Flatwork Technician/Finisher Certification

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The ACI Concrete Flatwork Finisher & Technician certification programs have no specified education prerequisites and are designed for the average working person.

ACI grants certification as follows:

Concrete Flatwork Technician:
1– Study Workbook
2– Pass a written examination with a score of at least 70%
3– May upgrade to Flatwork Finisher status upon gaining sufficient work experience.

Concrete Flatwork Finisher:
1– Study Workbook
2– Pass a written examination with a score of at least 70%
3– Submit documentation of three years (4500 hours) of concrete finishing experience.

Certification is valid for 5 years.

ACI Concrete Field Testing Certification Grade 1

**Please Note**: Enrollment is limited. Registration will not be comfirmed until payment is received. Workbooks will be mailed to the address provided on the registration form. We reserve the right to cancel/combine classes that do not meet the minimum number of attendees.

The certification was designed by ACI to promote better understanding of the ASTM procedures related to testing and acceptance of plastic concrete. This understanding will provide more reliable and accurate test results for better measurement of concrete performance.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

A Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform and record the results of seven basic field tests on freshly mixed concrete: Upon successful completion of the program, participants will have anInternational Certification and better understanding of the following ASTM testing procedures:

ASTM C 1064: Temperature of Freshly Mixed Portland Cement Concrete

ASTM C 172: Sampling of Freshly Mixed Concrete

ASTM C 143: Slump of Hydraulic Cement Concrete

ASTM C 138: Unit Weight, Yield & Air Content (Gravametric) of Concrete

ASTM C 231: Air Content of Freshly Mixed Concrete by Pressure Method

ASTM C 173: Air Content of Freshly Mixed Concrete by Volumetric Method

ASTM C 31: Making & Curing Concrete Test Specimens in the Field

Certification is valid for 5 years.

Day One:  8am-5pm, Classroom Training, (Lunch on own)

Day Two:  8am Review, 9am Written Exam, Performance Exam, SDDOT Plus Program Immediately Following (Mandatory for SDDOT), Lunch provided.

HAZWOPER Training

A 40 Hour HAZWOPER HazMat Technician course was conducted at the CIC Office September 26-29 by Shawn Burress, Burress Advisory Group, LLC, Omaha, NE. Hazardous materials technicians are individuals who respond to releases or potential releases for the purpose of stopping the release of a hazardous substance. The course included both classroom instruction and hands-on practical application. Take note of the changing classroom environment: this course was conducted utilizing iPads rather than traditional textbooks!
